PRESS RELEASE

SHELL TO USE MODPLC®

(Boca Raton, FL August 10, 2002) - Accurate Computer, Inc. and Crystal Computing, Inc. today announced that, Shell Global Solutions (US) has specified the ModPLC® system in its bid package seeking to extend the life and functionality of its legacy MODCOMP® process control systems at their refining plants. The designation of ModPLC®, an OPC compliant MODCOMP® to Windows® bi-directional interface, was made after months of rigorous testing by Shell.

Using Accurate's already proven PC4805 hardware, ModPLC® was designed in 2000, by Crystal's sister corporation, Advanced Traffic Control, Inc. The system was conceived as a short term solution to Virginia's Department of Transportation's need to extract traffic data from its legacy MODCOMP® based tunnel control system at the Monitor-Merrimac Memorial Bridge Tunnel facility in Hampton, Virginia. The data acquired through ModPLC® was then used in VDOT's Windows® based Graphical Traffic Information System (GTIS) operated by its Smart Traffic Center located in Virginian Beach.

Acquired by Crystal Computing in 2001, the ModPLC® system performed flawlessly until it was retired in 2002, when Advanced Traffic Control completed its upgrade and conversion of the Monitor-Merrimac tunnel and the MODCOMP® computers were eliminated in favor of a Windows® based tunnel control system.
