Tunnel VMS sign replacement
This
project called for the replacement of 26 of the variable
message signs at MMMBT and the conversion of the remaining eight to emergency
use. The project required the development of a replacement VMS controller,
which runs multiple communications protocols, interfacing to the old and the
new signs on the same multi-drop 2400 baud serial line, and updates the signs
once per second. The controller replacement was implemented using Intellution
iFIX. Completed 2001.
