Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel
The
HRBT system controls a 12 mile stretch of I-64 connecting Hampton and Norfolk
across the lower Chesapeake Bay. In addition to the above company projects,
our own Frank Roark served as Principal Project Engineer on this 1999 HRBT
conversion from TOMAC to NewTON, and the associated installation of graphical
operator's console displays, and a LED map board. Since MODCOMP® components
of the TOMAC SYSTEM were eliminated in the installation of this system, design
of a new GTIS interface was an integral part of the project. This project
was completed in 1999.
